On January 25-26, 2025 we’re running the second Defeating Games for Charity fundraising event benefiting the Video Game History Foundation.
We’re looking for family-friendly streamer volunteers who can play and talk about a game (or segment of a game) in depth. This could be a speedrun or challenge run; diving deep into the game’s design or themes; or even describing their personal relationship to the game. It should be a 1-2 hour session where the streamer plays a game they are very familiar with and gives entertaining, informative commentary to help raise money for the cause.
The format of the event is a Twitch raid chain, where each streamer goes live on their own channel, then raids into the next one and brings the audience from stream to stream. We’re looking for more streamers to participate this year, and encourage everyone to apply to our open call.
Runners must be 18 years of age.
VOD links must be valid through January 1st.
Up to three submissions will be allowed.
Submissions will close on December 1st.
Final selections will go out by January 1st.
